Today Disney’s Animal Kingdom Celebrates 15 Years on Earth Day

“I have learned from the animal world, and what everyone will learn who studies it is, a renewed sense of kinship with the earth and all its inhabitants.”    -Walt Disney

Disney’s Animal Kingdom: Definitely not a zoo and not your average theme park.  It is Disney edutainment at its finest!  The dedication to conservation, education, entertainment, and detail here make this place one of a kind!  I can’t believe it is 15 years old today!  They grow up so fast!  Here are some photos in honor of Earth Day and the 15 year anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  Enjoy!

These pictures are FANTASTIC!! You are so talented! It’s amazing how you catch the animals framed so perfectly (giraffe and elephant pics are my favorite, oh and the look on the gorilla’s face) and the guy who was talking without catching him with a weird look in the middle of a word. And Divine has a great expression as well. Also love the street with the lights overhead and Everest in the background, and I love how tall you made Everest look! Oh, and the pic with the owl flying at you! I’m so glad they picked you to be up front. Not many people could have taken advantage of that to get such an awesome picture as you! Oh and maybe my favorite of all is the one of the Tree of Life framed in such a natural surrounding. Only you could find a place like that with no fence, streets or people in the shot!

I have so many photos of Animal Kingdom that I love the hardest part was not uploading hundreds. I have to give the park most of the credit! It is sooooo photogenic! I love it! It’s a photographers playground!
